Man Caught With Pistol In Delhi Metro.

 The passenger, a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, was caught with a firearm around 10am during a security check on the Delhi Metro, officials said.



New Delhi: A 21-year-old man was arrested by CISF staff at Hazrat Nizamuddin municipal police station in Delhi on Wednesday with a firearm made by the country in his luggage, officials said.

The passenger, a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested around 10 a.m. while checking security, they said.

Carrying weapons and ammunition is not permitted within the metro network. The passenger was handed over to Delhi Police for questioning, they said.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has been tasked with providing anti-terrorism coverage to the Delhi Metro network in the national capital region.
